Hi,
Good to be part of the Colouring community.
I have always had an interest in black and white pieces of artwork...I don't just mean for colouring-in but black and white photos to boot. It was never about colouring when I started creating pieces of artwork....I just like black and white! It was years earlier that I started to look into the art I was producing as an educational tool for children and adults. While researching the educational benefits of my artwork, I started to get interested in other social matters including, Knife and gun crime, gangs, break up of families,
depression....you get the picture. This then led onto an obsession to create a new way of investing back into the community/society. So I decided to put my head down and start creating new products to market, two books and ten pieces of artwork for ten charities. It was at this point I found a 'micro organisation' that already helped young youths in holiday breaks which included film making. I explained that my black and white artwork [the imagination pictures] could help create funds for their cause to help create a working space for young people to learn tech and film making. This has just started up now through their Amazon retail shop. The piece of artwork in the attachment is a 'search and find' mind game for children and adults... also a tool to help each individual find their own pictures by using their own imagination. This can be done by grouping certain small pictures together > from any direction > to find the weird and wonderful! I believe a piece of artwork should draw people in and keep them there, be it for colouring in or playing a mind game or as a visual piece of art that moves you in some way. I have also just bought out my first colouring book with a percentage of the profits going towards the Colour Buddy Concept.
